A Sotecnisol Academy, the Sotecnisol Group's training school, completed approximately 2,000 hours of training and certified more than 200 trainees during its first six months of operation. The goal for 2024 is to meet all of the Group's training needs.
The purpose of the project is to strengthen the professional development of the Group’s employees and provide an enriching and ongoing learning experience. Through specialized training, the Academy serves as a driving force for attracting and retaining talent, which helps drive the Group’s growth.
“Data indicates that the shortage of skilled labor has reached its peak in the construction sector. The sector is aware that there is a challenge in recruiting specialized workers, and that was one of the main reasons that led us to create this Academy. We seek to train and develop our employees” expertise in the company’s various areas of operation, with a special focus on waterproofing, photovoltaics, and welding. These training programs are sure to be enriching for these workers’ professional lives,” says José Luís Castro, CEO of the Sotecnisol Group.
The Sotecnisol Academy offers a wide range of training programs, including courses in waterproofing, electricity and photovoltaics, metalwork, and coatings, as well as courses in first aid and safety, leadership, construction and project management, negotiation, and sales.
To complement its core business, the Group also owns 2Work, a company specializing in the recruitment, selection, and placement of professionals on a temporary basis. This allows the Group to match different employee profiles to the specific needs of companies.
